Sophian - Colonnade
The Sophian Plaza Condos, located near the Nelson Atkins Museum and listed on the National Register of Historical Places, underwent renovations in 2009. Hoffman Cortes was hired by the Sophian Plaza Homeowner’s Association to completely restore the historic colonnade surrounding the main entrance. The completely deteriorated colonnade was brought back to its original state by restoring and replacing the Indiana limestone. Hoffman Cortes also was tasked with doing a feasibility study on the building, providing preventive maintenance and water intrusion plans.
